Q: What does Kasperiah mean?
Kashmir is a well-known place all around the world. A lot of websites, brands, and other media are already using this name or its forms to portray their brand. We wanted to name our brand that would not only represent our motherland at the same time it should stand out of the crowd. So Kasperiah was born. Ancient Greeks used to call Kashmir “Kasperia” so there you have the origin of the word.

Q: Is there any Android App or iOS App on the website?
Right now Kasperiah is just a website. But we might roll out Android and iOS apps in the future Inshallah! You can still use kasperiah.com as an app and install it on your device.
Just follow these steps to install the Kasperiah app on your device.
Step 1) On your device Android or Apple iOS open Chrome Browser or any browser should work.
Step 2) Tap or click on the app and open it. You should see a Search Bar, in the Search Bar type kasperiah.com and click Search or hit Enter. Once you are on the site. Click or tap on the top right corner Menu represented by three vertical dots or something similar. Once clicked a menu will pop up, in this menu find the Add to Home Screen option and click on it. It will start installing the Kasperiah app on your device.
Step 3) Once the app has been installed on your device. It will appear in your Menu. You can also find it on your home screen or in the search bar of your OS.
Q: What are those satirical/fun articles?
We want Kasperiah to be the go-to destination for online knowledge and entertainment in Kashmir. Since we are always trying to get more and more factual information about everything on our site. We have decided to integrate satirical/fun articles as well. Why? Why not? People deserve satirical, funny, and entertaining content as well as getting knowledge online. We want to provide everything we can be it useful content or funny one. Moreover, people in Kashmir enjoy and adore funny, satirical stuff. We would not like to miss that one. Keeping that in mind, we must say that Satire is protected under freedom of Speech and expression under Article 19(1) (a) of the Indian Constitution.
We want to make sure that we don’t spread misinformation and we do not want our content or articles to be taken out of context and spread online or offline by someone that is not good for anyone or society. So we will put a Note on the bottom of every satirical/funny article that will inform the reader that, that particular article is a satirical one, not a factual one, and should be treated as a form of entertainment.
